Essential Tools For The Young Entrepreneur!

Every budding entrepreneur on the brink of achieving something big needs a few basic skills to make a dent in the world of business. Some of these skills are acuteness in your field of work and shrewdness to deal with business veterans in a world where the factors of success keep changing. It is crucial to blend these skills with the right set of tools.

Technology has brought with it access to infrastructure that previously was not possible without shelling out millions of bucks. There is a myriad of tech offerings to choose from, whether it be the bulky storage space offered by the cloud services or extreme processing power afforded by modern tablets, we cover some of these offerings below;

Computing—Tablets
Modern tablets pack in the computational, storage capacity, and long battery life oftentimes giving standalone desktop PCs a run for their money. If you’re someone that opens dozens of tabs on your browser, or run complex rendering software such as the 3ds Max then you’ll need to keep a watchful eye on your tablet’s specs, such as the CPU, GPU and RAM.

Following is a list and brief description of some of these tablets;

1) Samsung Galaxy TabPro S
One of the key features that set this tablet apart is that it comes bundled with a keyboard dock, competing tablets can charge in excess of $120  for separate keyboards. Its vibrant AMOLED display covers a whopping 99.9% of the sRGB spectrum and a crisp 2160 by 1440 resolution. The 4 GB of Ram ensure plenty of room for running dozens of windows at once without experiencing so much as a hiccup.

2) iPad Pro 9.7
Apple has a panache for producing powerful devices, and each iteration of their iPhone is a testament to the company’s aggressive commitment to the quality of their product. They have brought the same tenacity to their iPads as of late.

The iPad Pro 9.7 lives up to Apple’s legacy, bringing a dual core 2.16 GHz (twister) and the PowerVR series 7 to the table. There are two cameras, 12 MP at the back and 5 MP at the front, ensuring that your Skype streams are of a high enough quality.

3)  Nexus 7
Google’s take on the tablet brings in a 1.2 GHz quad core Cortex A9 processor and Nvidia’s ULP Geforce (Tegra 3). It has 1 GB of ram, which is a bit on the shorter side and only 1.2 MP The display however is one of its more powerful features covering just about 100% of the sRGB spectrum, and a screen so bright that you can see everything on it even if you take it outside in the overwhelming luminosity of the Sun.

4) Microsoft Surface Pro 4
Bringing in the 6th generation novelty of the Intel Core i5-6300 U, the Surface Pro 4 holds its own against the processing prowess of high end desktops, ensuring that you can perform intensive tasks on your tablet with ease. The display brings Microsoft’s patented PixelSense technology which is far more advanced than any mainstream competitor can bring. The screen resolution is at 2736 by 1824, which makes for a mammoth 267 ppi.

5) Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro
A standard 13.3-inch touch screen with a 3200 by 1800 resolution, a respectable 4 GB of RAM and a crisp 13 MP camera, the Lenovo Yoga 3 definitely hits the sweet spot when it comes to a laptop and tablet hybrid. While its processing power might be a tad bit lower than what you would expect from tablets these days, the Intel Atom chipset can more than suffice for your general computing needs.

Data and Storage: Cloud computing

When it comes to serious computing or big data handling, no consumer grade product on the market can suffice. Companies are now switching their businesses over to cloud services in order to save up millions of dollars in daily operation costs while easily gaining access to features that were once cost prohibitive. As a young entrepreneur, you no longer have to face a great investment barrier that stems from dedicated technological infrastructure. Now you can easily benefit from super computers without them taking up storage space.

The pay as you go service offered by cloud services means that you only pay for what you need. It’s a cost-effective solution that new entrepreneurs can definitely benefit from.  You also lower your overall carbon footprint since the energy costs associated with the necessary infrastructure is no longer your headache, a point that can definitely appeal to potential climate conscious customers. Imagine a slogan where you claim “We are committed to fight climate change and have extremely low carbon emissions.”

One of the biggest advantages that cloud computing brings to any business startup is the ability for coworkers to collaborate on a project in real time, from anywhere.

Here’s list a few major brands offering some of the best cloud services money can buy:

Google’s cloud offerings bring a host of such tools to your business such as the App Engine, DNS, Compute Engine which allows users to create virtual machines which borrow only those resources that your business needs. All of these tools are powered by various data centers around the globe.

The permanence of powerful smart devices, cloud computing, and big data analytics, among others has dramatically leveled the competition.
