Google Pixel 3: Release Date and Rumored Specs

Google Pixel 3In the year 2018, we will see three brand new Google Pixel 3 smartphones! However, don’t expect to get your hands on so soon because you will have to wait until October to see and hold them! If you are a fan of Google’s smartphones and like every year, are anxiously waiting for the company to unveil them, all the rumored specifications and features will interest you.

Let’s Give Fuel to the Rumors:  Here’s What You Can Expect?

One of the first things we notice about smartphones is their design. Rumors about the Pixel 3’s design has been circulating around for some time so what’s the truth? The cold hard truth:  the company is opting for an edge-to-edge design, which delivers an immersive viewing experience.

Unfortunately, the company has been tightlipped about the bezel size of the smartphone, but it is a smart guess that they would or should opt for the massively popular notched displays. Since the Android P will feature notches of different shapes and sizes, it is not that far-fetched to think the Pixel 3 will feature a notched display.

If you recall that people were not too pleased with the Pixel 2’s design, which is why this time around, you can expect the Pixel 3 to feature slimmer bezels. The company is said to working on the overall design of Pixel 3. They want to design to impress!

Google Pixel 3:  More Affordable than Before

Before Pixel arrived onto the scene, Google designed and manufactured affordable smartphones. Ever since its competitors upped the ante, the company introduced the Pixel, an upgraded and pricey smartphone. With their competitors — Apple and Samsung — dominating the market, Google needs a new strategy.

Instead of introducing equally expensive smartphones, they need to reduce their costs and make their smartphones more affordable to the general public. We think the company might have listened to the pleas of people for a high-end yet affordable smartphone, based on the ongoing rumors that the company will offer a lower price for Pixel 3. Keeping in line with the trend, you can expect a pricier alternative.

Google Pixel 3:  A Glimpse into Its Specifications

What we know so far about the Pixel 3 is very little, but day by day, details about Google’s new masterpiece are being revealed, just not as fast as we want it to be! We can shine a spotlight on some of the specifications, starting with its processor.

The Pixel 3 will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. When it comes to performance, the Pixel 3 will definitely hit it out of the ballpark! Not only just that, but expect Google to upgrade its RAM and storage capacity.

The Pixel 3 will have a 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. Instead of a headphone jack, the Pixel 3 will have a USB-C. That was a given though, as previous versions of this smartphone had opted for this too. As for the display, not to get your hopes up, but this smartphone may not benefit from an upgraded display, but in the event the company decides to go for an upgrade, expect a 4K resolution.

Google Pixel 3:  Improved Security

Guess what? Google wants to give the iPhone X a run for its money! The company is developing its own iris scanner support, thus putting the Pixel 3 in direct competition with iPhone X’s 3D scanner. Hold your horses though because there is a high probability of the code not to be ready in time for Pixel’s 3 release, and it doesn’t look like Google will push its release date, until all the kinks of the scanner are worked out.

What is constant on this smartphone is the inclusion of a fingerprint scanner, which the company plans to relocate to under its display. Now, we know what you’re thinking? Other manufacturers have tried doing the same thing in the past, only to fail miserably! Let’s give Google the benefit of the doubt and reserve our review of this later!

Google Pixel 3:  Picture Quality

Smartphones are known for their picture taking ability and with each new version released, the camera receives an upgrade. When the Pixel 2 was released, something critical was missing from it — a dual lens camera. This time around Google has learned its lesson and will likely include a dual lens camera in the Pixel 3.

Google Pixel 3:  Wireless Charging

Wireless charging has become the new way to charge and Google is on it! Reportedly, the company is working on introducing wireless charging for the Pixel 3. Google’s smartphones’ battery power has always stood out in comparison with other smartphones on the market, but with wireless charging, you can expect even more praise for the company’s Pixel 3.

Google Pixel 3:  The New Active Edge

Although the Active Edge is nothing new, it will receive a new makeover for the Pixel 3. Before in Pixel 2, users couldn’t customize the Active Edge, but they can in the Pixel 3! Users can launch any feature from the Active Edge.

How Excited Are You about the Launch of the Google Pixel 3?

Even though no date has been confirmed yet by the company with the only speculation surrounding it, you will have to wait for them to make an official announcement. You can choose from three different Pixel 3, all priced differently.

Like all of their previous smartphones, you can expect the company’s Pixel 3 to deliver a jam-packed and powerful performance. People  who are not regular users of Google’s smartphones must definitely give Pixel 3 a try when it comes out!

Just know that the hype surrounding the Pixel 3 is real and that you will get your money’s worth if you choose to get one for yourself. You should get a smartphone that offers you an incredible number of features and is built to last, which this one is, as it is both water and dust resistant.
